保羅要在羅馬傳福音的心志終於實現了－－只是不曾期待遇到風浪、船毀和蛇咬！依照保羅的慣例，他在羅馬的服事是以向猶太人傳福音為開始（徒28：17-29），然而依照保羅聽眾的慣例（真令人悲哀），他們當然拒絕他救恩的信息，於是保羅立刻轉向外邦人，路加在結束他那第二本新約教會歷史時，描述到保羅在羅馬足足傳了兩年的福音－－使徒雖然帶著鎖鍊，福音卻是完全不受捆綁的！

        你有夢想為上帝做大事的習慣嗎？
        希西家有一個夢（代下29），他夢想將全國的屬靈需要帶到上帝面前，把異教的影響連根拔除，帶領他的百姓虔誠的敬拜耶和華，所以儘管希西家很年輕，卻看到自己的夢想已經實現。
        大衛有一個夢（撒下7），他夢想為上帝建造一幢恢宏壯麗的殿宇，雖然在大衛有生之年並沒有親見夢想實現，卻能夠為自己的兒子所羅門作了最妥善的準備，使美夢成真！
        保羅也有一個夢，他夢想有朝一日能在羅馬皇帝面前傳講救主的好消息，當然保羅的夢想也實現了！
        那麼你的夢是什麼呢？在你一生中，你想為上帝成就什麼大事？你想為子孫留下什麼樣的遺產呢？現在就花幾分鐘想一想你要為上帝做的一件大事，如果你願意，把這個願望交給上帝，為此禱告，並朝著這個方向努力，靠著上帝的力量，到了時候必能實現理想，將榮耀歸給祂！

        沒有結束的使徒行傳
        四本福音書都有結論，因為基督在地上的工作已經完成了（「成了」）－－約19：30），但是使徒行傳卻沒有結論，那是因為被聖靈澆灌的傳福音工作還沒有結束的緣故（「……耶穌開頭一切所行所教訓的。」徒1：1）。

有些人夢想偉大的成就，有些人卻保持清醒，使美夢成真！

        Paul's great ambition to reach Rome with the gospel is at last realized—but not without storm, shipwreck, and snakebite! Typical of Paul, he begins his ministry in Rome by preaching to the Jews (28:17-29). And (sadly) typical of Paul's listeners, they reject his message of salvation, prompting him to turn to the Gentiles. Luke ends his two-volume history of the New Testament church by describing Paul's two-year ministry in Rome— the apostle in chains, but the gospel very much "on the loose"!

        Are you in the habit of dreaming big dreams for God?
        Hezekiah had a dream (2 Chronicles 29). He dreamed of turning his spiritually needy nation back to God, of uprooting pagan influences and guiding the hearts of" his people back to a fervent worship of Jehovah. And though young, he saw his dream come true.
        David had a dream (2 Samuei 7). He dreamed of building a magnificent house for God. And though he did not see his dream come true in his own lifetime, he was able to prepare the way for his son Solomon to make the dream a reality.
        Paul had a dream. He dreamed of declaring the Savior's story before emperors in Rome. And his dream also came true.
        What is your dream? What impact do you want to make for God during your lifetime? What legacy do you want to leave for your children?
Spend a few minutes right now dreaming a big dream for God. If you feel free to do so, share it with your spouse or a close Christian friend. Commit it to God. Pray for it. Work toward it. And in God's strength and timing, realize it to His glory!

        The Endless Book of Acts —
        Each of the four gospel accounts has a conclusion, for Christ's work on earth was completed ("It is finished," John 19:30). But the book of Acts has no conclusion, for the Spirit-empowered work of sharing the Gospel is not completed ("all that Jesus began both to do and teach," Acts 1:1).

Some men dream of worthy accomplishments, while others stay awake and do them.
