Chinese10/29/2013 上帝的兒子被拒English

        伯大尼的猶太人?(約11:45,46)_________________________
        猶太人公會?(約11:47、53,12:10)_______________________
        耶穌自己?(約11:54)__________________________________

10/29/2013 Rejection of the Son of God
Scriptures:John 11-12
Heart of the Passage:John 11
Overview

If there is one miracle Jesus performs that utterly confounds His enemies, it is the raising of Lazarus from the dead. Many of Christ's miracles could be explained away or downplayed by the religious leaders. But how do you silence an entire city that has witnessed the resurrection of one of its most prominent citizens—four days after kis burial? The thrilling news spreads like wildfire, setting the stage for Jesus' grand reception in Jerusalem.

Your Daily Walk

The shortest verse in the Bible is also one of the most potent, for it shows the Son of God in a moment of deep emotion. You'll find it in 11:35, and it consists of just two words: "Jesus wept. "But consider what that briefest of verses tells you: Jesus expressed genuine emotion. He did not consider it unmanly to express His true feelings. Rather than toughing it out or keeping a stiff upper lip in a time of grief, He wept openly and unashamedly.
Jesus was capable of sadness. This suggests that sorrow and grief should be an expected part of life. It is not unspiritual to grieve at the loss of a loved one; neither is it more spiritual to maintain a happy countenance to cover up inward pain and heartache. There truly is "a time to weep, and a time to laugh" (Ecclesiastes 3:4).
Do you know someone who is experiencing a period of deep grief or sadness right now? A few minutes of your time spent loving and listening to him or her can mean so much. And don't be embarrassed if a few tears flow in the process. That's what bearing one another's burdens is all about (Galatians 6:2).

Insight

Aftermath of a Miracle
The raising of Lazarus, the fast and most dramatic of Jesus' seven attesting miracles in chapters 1-12, produced shock waves felt throughout the nadon. What reaction did it evoke from
... the Jews of Bethany? (11:45-46).____________
        ... the Jewish Council? (11:47, 53; 12:10)__________

Adage

A good rule for going through life is to keep the heart a little softer than the bead.
